I first met Jacqueline through my cousin, who introduced me to taking on a role as her personal assistant for 3 months. She became my trusty FA in the period following that 🙂
Firstly, the irony here is that Jacqueline never once did ask me to take on any plans with her. As a matter of fact, I decided to choose Jacq as my FA only after having directly worked with her, which gave me an objective understanding of her commitment to her work. An experience that really struck a chord was her answer to the question “why did you leave the bank?” – she did not believe in selling plans “to hit a quota” but rather, she is dedicated to the greater cause of simply helping people achieve financial security. While this was just a casual statement made over lunch, she has shown me the follow through in her actions. I have seen firsthand her fervent passion towards her work and how she goes the extra mile to secure a complex claim for her anxious client. She is also always attending workshops to constantly upgrade her financial knowledge and keep abreast of the latest industry developments. I chose Jacq after making these observations as her personal assistant as I feel that she is an FA that will work in her clients’ best interests rather than to simply just “push for more sales”, I admire her strong work ethic and trust in her ability to help with planning my finances.
Prior to choosing Jacq as my FA, I have spoken with several other FAs. She is different from the rest in her genuine approach to financial advisory. She works in the best interests of her clients and has never pushed me to get any plans which I do not want or need. On the contrary, she feels saddened when she encounters clients who’ve had their previous FAs contract them to hefty yet unnecessary plans which wound up being financial liabilities. In these cases, I have seen her work extra hard in her attempts to rectify the damage that was done and help her clients with the best course of action moving forward. Jacq’s transparency in her work. sa refreshing sight amongst the recent boom of FAs who join this industry to make a quick buck and do not really care about their negative impact on the lives of others by forcibly pushing plans which turn out to be detrimental in actuality. Jacqueline is honest about what she can or cannot do, and is extremely dedicated in servicing her clients to help them improve their finances. She provides prompt updates on any new developments to any insurance/investment plans, and makes helpful suggestions to provide the greatest benefit to her clients.
The decision to purchase an insurance or investment plan is a commitment and Jacqueline fully understands this from the clients’ perspective. She does not pressure her clients into making ill-informed decisions, and instead passes on her extensive knowledge about the industry and the market to help the people make better purchase decisions. She is extremely professional in her work, which I presume comes from her many years of FA experience. She created presentations to highlight key points and help me better understand what exactly I am getting myself into – such as drafting a useful side-by-side comparison between the various available plans and taking the time to fully explain the pros and cons of each plan. She also promptly addresses my queries and effectively quells any uncertainties. I appreciate her comprehensive support in helping me to make an informed decision about the plan which I purchased. Additionally, she has created a knowledge-sharing platform (via her telegram channel AND personal whatsapp messages) to consistently provide her clients the latest updates on industry/financial developments and general events in Singapore/the world. As a fortunate recipient of these updates, she has equipped me with greater financial awareness. In terms of follow up, she has also been nothing short of wonderful. She responds in a timely fashion (even at 2am!), swiftly and effectively processes insurance claims, and demonstrates attentiveness to her clients. Even in an incident whereby I did not proceed with the claim, she still took the initiative to check up on my health following that. It heartens me to know that she really does care about the well-being of her clients. The cherry on top of the cake (in a literal sense) was the wonderful care package she sent me (some time back and in no-way connected to the posting of this review) which included some yummy muffins and fruit snacks to brighten up my day.
Will I introduce Jacq to my network of friends? Yes, 100%! Good things must share. Jacqueline has made a positive contribution to my life with her FA services, and I would love for others to also experience the benefits that I have gained. I support her earnest approach to financial advisory, and truly believe that Jacq is one of the most dedicated and awesome FAs you will meet out there.
